Starting over, or writing another one?
1. Pick people
2. Write & add links
3. Spam test ≥ 9.5
4. TEST send
5. REAL send

1 · Who is this email going to?

Search the prospect database by name, company, or email. Pick one or more people.

2 · Write your email

Write normally. To add a tracked link: select the words that should be clickable, then press “Make tracked link”. If you pasted an email that already has links in it, just click anywhere in one of those links and press the same button — the whole link is picked up and its web address filled in for you.

3 · Spam test (required)

Press the button and the tool sends this email to a spam-scoring service from your globalqualitypartners.com address — the same address your customers will see it come from. There is nothing to copy and nothing to do in Outlook. It must score 9.5 or higher before it can go to anyone. Any variables you added are filled in using the first person on your list, so the score reflects what they will really read.

4 · TEST send (required)

Before anything reaches a customer, send this email to your own test account and check it arrived and looks right.

5 · REAL send — to customers

My past sends

Every email you have sent to real customers. Open one to read it, send it to more people, or delete it. To write a new email, use Compose Email.

Send this email to more people

They receive the same email, with their own tracking. It goes out as soon as you add them.

Spam-test an email before you send it from Outlook

Write the email here, or copy/paste the subject and body from your Outlook draft. The tool sends it from your own email address to the testing service and shows the score. When it passes, copy both pieces back into Outlook and send.

Plain web link, no tracking — for tracked links use Compose Email.

Add a link

An ordinary web link, with no tracking attached. To count clicks, build the email in Compose Email instead.

Add a variable

A variable fills itself in per person as the email goes out. Write “Hi”, add the First name variable, and Bill Smith reads “Hi Bill” while Jane Doe reads “Hi Jane”. Woodpecker calls these snippets.

Leave empty for no stand-in. With there, somebody whose first name is missing reads “Hi there” instead of “Hi ,”.
Type this yourself if you prefer — it is only text. It stays looking like this while you write, and is swapped for the real value as each email is sent.

Make tracked link

The link reports back who clicked it. You choose three things; everything else is filled in automatically.

A name for this whole push, your choice. A useful shape is industry – business area – region — construction-bo-ne reads as construction industry, back-office services, New England. Codes you use are remembered and offered next time.
Identifies this single email. cs- is fixed (Client Services); the rest is yours — cs-da-intro-e1 reads as Digital Assistants, introduction, email #1.
What gets added to the web address (automatic)

Nothing here is typed by you. These are tacked onto the end of the address so the reports can tell which email a click came from and who clicked it.
